Marinas del Yacht is a residential complex located in Nordelta, a private development 20 miles (32 km) north of downtown Buenos Aires. The wide and expanded lot sits on the bay of a channel connecting with Río Luján. Its curved contour was the main inspiration for the design.

The three-storey building accommodates 36 units, adapting its shape to the edge of the water. All the apartments overlook the bay and the marinas. The radial floor plan has the living rooms and master bedrooms facing the water and the rest of the bedrooms and the kitchens facing the opposite side. The parking garage with a capacity for 72 cars was placed underground. The complex has six elevators, each serving two units per floor.

Towards the access road, the front of the building is more blind. In contrast, the back is widely open with large glass sliding doors. Generous terraces become an outdoor expansion of the living rooms.

The concrete structure is exposed in the form of three long curved bands around the entire building and the spaces between them are covered with either glass or wood boards, depending on the needs. All the glass surfaces are protected by deep overhangs.

As in most of our projects, there is a clear intention to keep the scale of the building low and to emphasize the horizontal lines. In this particular situation, they suggest a dialogue with the water.
