Project: Dubai Grand Polo Club & Resort

Location: Dubai, UAE

Status: Project

Partners: Juan Ignacio Ramos & Ignacio Ramos

The Dubai Grand Polo Club & Resort Clubhouse is thoughtfully designed to reflect both the spirit of equestrian tradition and the cultural heritage of the UAE. Located at the heart of the equestrian center and surrounded by private villas, the single-story structure embraces a contemporary design language that respects the region’s history and environment. Inspired by the horse’s deep cultural symbolism in Emirati life, the project aims to offer an experience rooted in tradition while meeting the expectations of modern luxury and comfort.

Traditional materials like coral stone, along with features such as shaded courtyards and water elements, are integrated to reflect the architectural identity of the region and respond naturally to the desert climate. The approach to the Clubhouse begins through a landscaped access courtyard, where a calm water feature and generous overhangs guide members into a welcoming and functional space.

From the covered terrace overlooking Polo Field Number 1 to natural grandstands designed for spectators of jumping events, the building supports both sport and social interaction. Inside, it offers a restaurant with views of the fields, a VIP lounge for private events, a gym, spa, and fully equipped locker rooms. A rooftop terrace with a swimming pool and viewing lounges offers expansive views of the entire resort. Influenced by historic sites such as the Al Fahidi Neighborhood, Fujairah Fort, and Qasr Al Hosn, the Clubhouse brings together heritage and simplicity in a setting designed for connection, relaxation, and the shared passion for equestrian life.
